3.3. Register License

Once the installation of Artist Studio is complete you need to register your license. Depending on the version of the software, you will receive Artist Studio with the corresponding license. Follow the below steps to register your license:

3.3.1. License number

License-number based licenses are most convenient and flexible. For example in case of switching to a new computer, it is enough to unregister the license on the old computer and you can register it right away on a new computer.

  1. Click on the File drop-down menu and select Register license.

  1. Select “License number”.

  1. Paste your license number. In case of non-standard server/port, update these fields accordingly.

Note

The default values are: server license.cevotec.com, port 25555

  1. Finally, click on the Register button and your license will be registered.

3.3.2. License file

License file is a solution only for situations where access to the license server is not possible. This solution is less flexible: license is bound to computer/user combination. For example, if you want to switch to a new computer, you have to export hardware information again and ask Cevotec to generate a new license file.

  1. Click on the File drop-down menu and select Register license.

  1. Go to the second tab, “Computer/user information”. Save this information to a file by clicking on Save button, and send this file to Cevotec.
